Tecnitronic

Technology

Architecture for operational software.

Cortex is structured as a layered mission platform. The application layer is where Tecnitronic’s durable product value sits — workflows, context, evidence and operator authority — above interchangeable AI services and beneath a clear operator experience.

System stack

Five layers describe how Cortex is organised. Together they form a coherent stack rather than a collection of disconnected tools.

  1. 01

    Operator Experience

Interfaces for orientation, analysis and decision support — clear under operational load.

  2. 02

    Cortex Application Layer

    Durable product core

Mission workflows, operational objects, permissions, evidence and human confirmation. The durable product core.

  3. 03

    AI Services

Specialized capabilities for vision, language, signal analysis, prediction and planning — orchestrated, not monolithic.

  4. 04

    Data & Integration

Adapters and interfaces for sensors, systems, data sources and partner modules.

  5. 05

    Infrastructure

Deployment foundations intended for edge, on-premise, cloud and constrained environments.

Interoperability

Open architecture as strategy

Cortex is designed for interoperability with existing sensors, defence systems, third-party AI models, partner software and future systems through APIs and adapters. Compatibility with any specific third-party system is established case by case and is not claimed here.

  • 01

    APIs

Interfaces for integrating Cortex into broader operational software estates.

  • 02

    Sensor adapters

Pathways for connecting heterogeneous sensor and data feeds into mission workflows.

  • 03

    Model adapters

Architecture for specialised AI capabilities without dependency on a single model provider.

  • 04

    Partner modules

Room for partner software to extend capability within a governed application layer.

Resilience

Deployment models

Cortex is being developed with multiple deployment contexts in mind. These are architectural design goals for resilience and operational fit.

Deployment contexts

  1. 01

    Edge

Closer to the point of collection and action when latency or connectivity requires it.

  2. 02

    On-premise

Within organisational infrastructure where control and policy demand it.

  3. 03

    Cloud

Where elastic capacity and centralised operations are appropriate.

  4. 04

    Disconnected / degraded

Designed with constrained and intermittent connectivity as a first-class concern.
